1.3.6.1.4.1.18060 has been assigned by IANA for Apache. The
enterprise numbers are
listed here.
This is the base for Apache and hence all assigned numbers are off of
this branch. How we partition this space is our responsibility and there
is no system
in place just yet.
IANA has partitioned up OID's using a data structure called SMI for
the efficient
management of TCP/IP based internets. That's how we get this
base: 1.3.6.1.4.1. You can

Branching and Number Assignments for Apache
How we partition our OID branches past this point will help manage
them. So we need
our own system for new assignments. Although nothing is in place,
I think its safe to
create the first branch for ASF TLPs and another for use by
infrastructure. How a
TLP carves up their own space will be significant at some point but we
won't know how
until we just start using them. So there is no point to creating
an intricate system for now.
