Site-wide ban rules

Infrastructure has put a very specific set of rules in place to prevent abuse of our services. Should you find yourself breaking one of these rules, your IP will be banned from all services across the ASF.

The following actions are NOT allowed on ASF services:

If you find yourself either banned by mistake, or if you have been banned but would like some leniency (as for instance with a NAT IP that services a lot of people), please either contact us at users@infra.apache.org or visit us on Slack.

Leniency and whitelisting will be (discussed and potentially) granted on a case-by-case basis.

Rate-limiting on some services

Services like gitbox, JIRA, confluence, and bugzilla have rate limits imposed. Abusing these services will result in a 429 HTTP response code. Not respecting the HTTP response may result in a permanent ban.
